Statement of Accounting Policies** These Financial Statements are general purpose financial statements and have been prepared in accordance with UK generally accepted accounting practices. (UK GAAP). The accounting principles recognised as appropriate for the measurement and reporting of earnings and financial position on an historical cost basis have been used, with the exception of certain items for which specific accounting policies have been identified. ## **2. Changes in Accounting Policies** There have been no changes in Accounting Policies. All policies have been applied on bases consistent with those used in previous years. ## **3. This report is made solely to the trustees in accordance with section 145 of the Charities Act 2011. My work has been undertaken so that I might state to the charity’s trustees those matters I am requested to state to them in an independent examiner’s report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the charity and the charity’s trustees for my examination work. ## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner** The District’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The District’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examiner is needed. It is my responsibility to: - Examine the accounts under Section 145 of the Charities Act; - To follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act; and - To state whether particular matters have come to my attention. ## **Basis of independent examiner’s report** My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the District and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It Also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a “true and fair” view and the report is limited to those matters set out in statement below. ## **Independent examiner’s statement** In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention: 1.
