The capitsl and income of the Benevolent Fund is to be applied for th¢ benefit of th¢ poor and n¢edy or to

shall in duly constitutcd mccting from timL' to tim¢ direct.
Thl main activitics of the Bcncvolcnt F'und arL to raise funds which ar¢ then applied for charitablc
purposes principally towards local and Rotary charitii's.
Acbievements and Performance
During the year thc club raised funds totalling £ 32,572, incurred cost.s of £ 8,870 towards the fund raising
activitiLs, and made charitabl¢ donations and rLlatL'd paymL'nts amounting to £ 16,862 &8 detailed in the
Rcccipts and Paymcnts account. The main incomc receivcd was income from th¢ Two Pianos ConcLrt of
£ 3,783, our 2024 Charity Calcndar which rai.sed £ 3,401 in sales and sponsorship, and our Christmas
Collections which raised £ 2,880. Thc principal bcneficiaries during thL ycar w¢re the children who
reccived books from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to the valuc of £ 2,633, the Rotary Foundation
donatlon amountAng to £ 1,935, Aquabox donations amounting to £ 777 and th¢ Inner Whccl Club of
Clc¢thorpes recciving £ 700.
The Trustees hav¢ rcviewcd the Public Ben¢fit guidancc issued by the Charity Commission and confinn
that th¢y hav¢ Lompl.ied therewith in cx¢rcising their pow¢rs and duties during the ycar.

Financial Review- Reserves
The Trustccs policy on reserves is to retain Unallocated General Funds of approximately £ 1.000 to mcet
any ¢m¢rg¢ncy donation requests which may aris¢.
As at 30 June, 2024 th¢ Benevolent Fund had Unallocated Gencral Trunds of £ 3,911, Designated Gcneral
Trunds of £ 2,517 ( donations and payments a￿e¢d or allocated but not mad¢ ). Restricted (icncral Trunds
of £ 840, Designated Christmas Funds of £ 5,668 (Trunds rdiscd from th¢ Annual Christmas Collcctions
for th¢ benefit of local Children's Charitics and Other Local Charitics but not yct spent ), and Restrict¢d
Dolly Parton Imagination Library Funds of £ 12,957.
Thc Grant monics rcccived from Orstcd, Rotary District 1040, Humber Community and Pbillips66
towards books from th¢ Dolly Parton Imagination I.ibrary for local chIldrL￿ at Strand Academy, I,:Iliston
Academy, St Marys School, Stallingborough Primary, Canon P¢t¢r Ilall C of F Primary School and

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of The Rotary Club of
Cleethorpes Benevolent Fund
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Rotary Club of
Cleethorpes Benevolent Fund (the TTh￿t) for the year ended 30 June 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity tn￿teeS of the Tiust you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act.).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section
145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the
applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the
Act.
Independent examiner's statement
have completed my examination. I confirn] that no material matters have come to
my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in
any material respect:
l. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130
of the Act. or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the
examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a
propel" understanding of the accounts to be reached.
