Chairperson's Report Daniel Owen CommunityAssociation Charity number 1039413 2024-25 It is pleasingto reportthat the Charity Commission reports are upto date. The Association continues with 7Tru8tees and 7 volunteers throughout the year. The g8n8rous offer of time and skills by all, is valued and gratef ully received. The combined efforts allowthe Association to 8UPPOrtthe community. particularly the elderly. and serves as 8 hub ¢entralto the town. for manyevents, as well88 providingtoil8ts for use by the public. The café is continuingto incre8$eturnoverand good use is made of grants, to support the day to day running of the centie and help improve the fabric of the building. The Frld8y Lunch Club remain8well attended, with a two-course me818nd a drink, costing £6.50. The Warm Hub took place 8V8ry Friday duringth8 winter. and was extended from March to June. due to additionalfunding. The new room booking system and website have both proven to be an asset- meaning a greater income and strengthening of the Association's financial position. We are now VAT registered, Increased turnover Is needed to match the incre88e in the wage bill. utilities and consumables etc. The changes implemented tothe Coffèe mornings have continued. usingthe Saturday mornlngs to $8rve thefull m8nu. very much to the delight of ourregulars. A8 expected there have been ongoing maintenance repairs and discussions regarding improving the presentation on the Centre and identifying appropriate f unding. Fundraising is an important part of the work done bythe Manager and the Bingo has continued to be much loved and 8 great success. The 100 club remains in place and provides a source of income. It is her hard work8nd efforts that have m8intained th8 Café's hygiene ratingof 5- somethingto be very proud of. The Christmas lunch in Decemberwas oncè 8gain full offun and frolics and the customers were full of praise forthe staff's efforts. which it must be said were exceptional. The thought, attention to detail and décor ofthe room was par excellencel
The Board helped subsidisethe Staff Christmas meal, to showappreciation oftheir hard work and Commitment tothe Centre. The Centre continues to support local Government placements within the Café, which delivers Hospitality Trainingto people not in Education. work or just need extra eXP8riènce to gain employment. Treasurers Report AGM November 121h 2025 The accounts ending31st March 2025 showed in comparison with 2024 an increase in income of £29,290 and a150 an increase in charitable activities of £11,727. The Barclays Bank accounts, namely current and savers. together held £53. 591. This positive sitU8tion is due to the involvement; efforts and commitments oftrustees; staff and volunteers in ensuring the viability and stability of this charity.
