|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|1.<br>The number of cats and kittens<br>accepted into care during 2024 was<br>123 these were in addition to the 45<br>cats already in care who were waiting<br>for new homes together with those in<br>permanent foster care. Many of the<br>cats who were accepted into care<br>were strays, but others came from<br>homes where they were either no<br>longer welcome or where they could<br>no longer be cared for.<br>2.<br>There were 14 dogs rehomed from<br>their own homes including ones who<br>had been accepted into the care of<br>the Society and boarded at private<br>boarding kennels while waiting to be<br>rehomed.<br>3.<br>Requests for help from people who<br>had cats and dogs who they were no<br>longer able to keep remained high in<br>number.  The Society helped as<br>many of these animals as was<br>possible.<br>4.<br>All animals taken into care were<br>vaccinated, neutered and<br>microchipped as necessary<br>5.<br>Vaccination, neutering and<br>microchipping vouchers were<br>provided to people who rehomed<br>kittens prior to them being old<br>enough for these procedures to be<br>carried out.<br>6.<br>Continuing veterinary care was<br>provided for all the elderly animals<br>rehomed and those with ongoing<br>veterinary problems. This helped to<br>secure homes for them which might|





- otherwise have been difficult. 

- 7. When requested help was provided for feral cats to be trapped, neutered and returned 

- 8. On several occasions help was provided for cats, in particular, following requests from Social Services 

- 9. Food was provided for colonies of feral cats 

- 10. Fundraising events were organised throughout the year and additional fundraising was carried out by attending events organised by local organisations 

- In the opinion of the Trustees the Society continues to be held in high regard by the local community.
