All staff are in contact with their key children’s parents/carers each day the staff member works, sharing information, offering advice and activities for the children to do at home. We send out regular newsletters to parents/carers offering advice and information which is pertinent to the children who attend. ## Finances Newton Nursery has had to increase the fees to £18 per 3 hour session, which is below the average being charged by similar settings in the area. This needed to be done due to the increase in the Minimum Wage, the increase in the lettings fee for the room we use in school, increased cost of insurance and the increase in daily running costs. Although all staff have taken a cut in their working hours, we continue to maintain and follow the Government Guidelines with regards to ratios. The insurance cost has increased due to the company’s annual increase. The attached financial statement shows the current state of finances. Due to reducing financial pressure on our families, we have not held events to raise further funds.
