**Objects:** (A) TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THE PUBLIC STUDY OF BRITISH FAMILY HISTORY, GENEALOGY, HERALDRY AND LOCAL HISTORY WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO CHESHIRE(B) TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION, SECURITY AND ACCESSIBILITY OF ARCHIVAL MATERIAL

**Activities:** The society exists to encourage the study of family history, genealogy, and local history in the county of Cheshire. The society produces a quarterly magazine and provides a number of searches. Regular meetings are held in Sale and Hazel Grove.
