Branksome All Saints’ Mother Union Nursery Report 2020 to 2021
Charity No. 1038723
All Saints Nursery has continued to provide a consistent, engaging and nurturing learning environment for all the children in our care in spite of the challenging Covid environment that we have all found ourselves in. The trustees have been united in making wise decisions in unique circumstances which has meant that the staff team have felt supported and enabled to work with focus and determination to meet the needs of the children and families that we serve.
The nursery staff team have risen to the challenge of implementing almost constantly changing Covid Guidance which has enabled the nursery to mostly remain open and the children’s learning has been minimally impacted. We have adapted our practise in response to Covid Guidance, EYFS 2021 and the differing needs of young children who have experienced prolonged lockdown isolation prior to nursery entry.
We have especially valued our learning environment in close proximity to woods and chines, and have further developed our understanding of the value of outdoor learning in response to the challenge of Covid. This is an aspect of our practise that we plan to develop further post-pandemic.
The nursery has remained financially strong which enables us to ensure that all aspects of our current provision is of a high standard, and also to make future plans so that we can continue to provide our unique learning environment for many more children in the future.
