All trustees give their time voluntary and receive no remuneration or other benefits.

During the year, we have organised 74 groups, which at year end were attended by 847 Individual, Honorary, Associate and WestNet members. 

All Trustees have been directed to, and have read the guidance issued by the Charity Commission and the Third Age Trust

Section D                      Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

During the year we’ve organised and run 74 groups, which are intended to be educational, recreational and leisure in nature. 

Over the period April 2022 to March 2023, we ran 74 groups, with over 740 members attending these groups. Virtually all Groups meeting in venue, with one or two exceptions. 

The target for the incoming committee post June 2022 AGM was to increase the membership which had partially covered to 740, as of 31[st] March 2023 it stands at 847, the target is to increase the membership to 1,000+ 

The committee decided that as far as possible all our activities would resume: 

- The first of these was the Summer Programme held in venue at Ermysteds Grammar School and consisted of 24 presentations from the 28[th] & 29[th] July which was attended by 170 members. 

- Next was the Open Event held at Skipton Town Hall to show case all our activities to our members and the public on 9[th] August. 

- December saw the return of the Carol service, attended by 130 members and family members. 

- A new event was Arts Event held in March 2023 to showcase all the Arts groups alongside music from our various orchestras and singers.

## **Section E                    Financial review** 

Our policy is to retain the reserves at a level equal to six months of **Brief statement of the** regular expenditure.  The Trustees agreed that this is sufficient to pay **charity’s policy on reserves** our obligations should the number of members paying subscriptions falls significantly, or other contingencies.
