Provide support for those in the Kettering (East Northants) area who have or are about to have their colon (large intestine) removed and have or will have an ileostomy or an internal pouch (J-Pouch, ileo-anal pouch). We hold regular member's meetings as well as providing a Visiting service whereby anyone, member or not, can speak to an IA member who already has an ileostomy or internal pouch.

Objects: 1) To Help Anyone Living In The [To Be Completed By Each Charity] Area And Elsewhere Whosecolon Has Been, Or Is About To Be, Removed By Surgical Procedure Or Who Has An Ileostomyor An Internal Pouch.2) To Promote And Co-Ordinate Research Into Bowel Disease And Other Conditions Leading Tothe Removal Of The Colon, Surgical Procedures Pertaining To Thereto, And Related Mattersand Further To Promote The Dissemination Of Knowledge Gained By Such Research.3) To Keep Ileostomists And Others Informed Of All Matters Of Interest To The Charity By Theperiodic Dissemination Of Information By Way Of Publications, By Arranging Conferences,seminars And Courses On Topics Of Interest, And In Any Other Manner Which Is Charitableand Which The Trustees Consider Appropriate.
