The charity is an unincorporated association.

Trustees are appointed or reappointed annually at the Annual General Meeting.

The trustees and committee members oversee the running of the Society, with regular meetings during the year to make any necessary decisions.

The Society has a Privacy and Data Protection policy, and a Safeguarding policy.

Objectives and Activities

The Society’s constitution states that “The object of the Society shall be to promote, improve, maintain and develop public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music; by the presentation of public choral concerts and by cooperating with such other charitable bodies, voluntary organisations and statutory authorities working in the same field, as the Committee may from time to time approve”.

For these purposes the Society presents two or three choral concerts per year. Sometimes we also put on a “Come and Sing” event, for people who are not members of our choir to join us in rehearsing and singing a particular piece of work. The aim of

this is so that people can become acquainted with works that they may not otherwise come across, and also that they can find out what it is like to sing with a choir.

Achievements of the charity during the year

During the year, the Society staged two public concerts, as follows:

The Charity aims to provide sufficient funding for the year ahead by setting the subscriptions at a suitable level at the beginning of each financial year.

Cash at bank at 31* August 2025 was £984.95, and cash investments were £37,000.00.

Notes to the Income and Expenditure Account for the year ended 31" August 2025 Note 1. No dividend or interest income has been received in the year ended 31 August 2025. The interest and dividend generating deposits were liquidated in the year ended 31" August 2024, New investments were not made until after February 2025 and no interest was received until after the year ended 31* August 2025. Note 2, Miscellaneous Expenses includes the cost of staging of £1,180.80. I report in respect ofmy examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in catrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. Independent examiner’s statement T have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records.

Thave no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. Signed:
