## - Holyport Pre School Trustees Annual Report 2020 2021 

The year started still in the Covid pandemic and was still affecting the amount of children that attended. We did stay open during this period due to government guidance with all credit to the staff. 

The Pre-School had a flood at the beginning of 2021 which affected the whole floor area. This meant we had to move to a new building which was the scout hut next door as they very kindly offered us the use of their building. The floor was worse than we first thought and we had to have the whole floor removed. When this was done it was found that the building was sitting on a pool of water which in turn was causing rising damp in the building so it was decided that while the floor was up we would fit a pump system to have this removed as the building was built too low in a flood plan. The Youth Club who we share the building with applied to the National Lottery for a grant and were successful and received a £8000 grant and preschool paid the remaining £5000 towards this. 

We were still in the scout hut until September and were still planning to be there until Jan 2022. 

The scout hut was a great space but did pose issues as we had to offer a limited space during this time and this did affect our income on top of the Covid reduction of fees.
