REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF MANAGE.MENr
During the 2022 fiscal ycar, the Rf made some irnportani inroads in expanding its capabilities and
broadening 115 ¢haritabl¢ reach. Imponantlyy the RF wa5 able to rcspond to the Russian invasion
of Ukraine with some direct assistance lu refugces fleeing the conflict. A number of high quality
cvrnts were held in London during the year. Charities and projects supported during the fiscal
year includd:
l ) "Azbuka School" Scholarship Program - sUPPOrted a deserving student in their Studies at
the only Russian and English bi-lingual sch(￿] in London. In May 2022. the RF made an
addilional scholarship donation to children fleeing ihe conflict in Ukraine.
2) 'Life in Motion"
a US based charity f￿USed on providing prosthetics for disabled
children. The RF supported one of Ih¢iT runners in the 2021 NYC marathon.
3) Ukraine refugee support - through our network. we were able 10 support a young mother
and child whu fled lo Romania and a Mother and children fleeing from the east of Ukraine.
We envision continuing to work on projccls in this regard.
We vi¢w our work wilh chariiie5 as an ongoing partnership and plan to continue to support the
above charities and projects when ￿ssIble and necded. While the event a¢tiviiy of the foundation
was affected by COVID and th¢ RUSSI￿Ukr8inc war, w¢ continuc w support a chariiies and good
¢auses.
'rhe RF continued to build in its strong area of organizing events on ihe back of an excellen¢
FY2021 in that regard. During the year. Ihe RF organized the fnllowing events:
l ) A talk by renowned hisiorian Dominic Lieven on Tsar Nicolas 11 in Sepiember 2021. The
in-person eveni was sold out and the short video created gathered more than 500 views on
youtube and the full podc&st more than 250 listeners.
2) A book launch for Nikolai Tolstoy's book "Stslin's Vengeance" in October 2021. This

3) The RF. also facilitaied an eveni on ihe History of ihe Russian Orthodox Church. which

In addition. we were approached by a reputable UK university lo collaborate on a research study of
White Russian philosophers, which we were very supportive of. We have given our support to the
grant application for ihe project and hope to be able to organizc an event on the topic in the
coming 12-24 months.
The year resulted in several milestones in ternis of en8a8ing with our donor community
we
received some meaningful repeat and standing order donatiotls. We are grdtefvl for any and all
donatic)ns and l(Mik forward to continuing to build and engage with our donor community in the
year ahead. The events also resltlicd in new supporters and donors, and the sponsorship d¢al that
cover¢d the entire cost of one FY 2021 event Wa5 paid during the year.
Th¢ Trustees ￿rrIed out furthcr work on the organi7ational side, including some critical
infrastructure and turther work on the website. The RF added capability to sell event tickets and
receive donations using tickettailor and stripe, which allows for seamless checkout and payment
for events online. The web redesign project continues to progress. though slower than we would
like.

In all past cases of donating to Russia and the CIS. the fund donated equipmenl or supplies
needed by the recipient institutions. We plan lo conlinue ihis policy of personal involvement
combined with the donation of goods and supplies for projects in Russi4 and seek to grow our
network of trusted partners in Russia and the CIS.
All the fund raising or charitable projects undertaken by the fund will conlinuc to directly involve
the family members or Trustees of the Foundation. This direct involvemcnl of the family and
operating team is the key to ihe success and effecliveness of the fund.
Since the establishment in 1992 of the Romanoff Fund for Russia by initiative of several senior
members of the Romanov family. the Fund has been instrumental in many benevolent activities in
the Russian F¢deration and in the CIS republics of Ukraine, Kazakhsian and Uzbekistan. Over Ihe
