Report of the Trustees

The Trustees Board present its report for the period ended 31[st] August 2025

About:

St Peters Preschool was established over 25 years ago. And is located in the church vestry adjacent to Saint Peters Church in Droitwich. The sta and committee successively manage the preschool together.

Objectives:

To provide a fun and loving preschool to children aged from 2 years and 9 months to school age, that is safe, secure and caring. We also work within the guidelines of Ofsted and then Early Years Foundation. To provide a safe environment preparing the children socially, intellectually and physically for school. Enhance the development of children through play.

Achievements:

Over the past review period, the setting has continued to grow and develop, implementing a number of positive changes. Key achievements include the strategic recruitment of an additional sta member to strengthen workforce capacity and enhance practitioner-to-child ratios. Professional development has been further supported through the implementation of the Noodle Now online training platform, facilitating continuous workforce upskilling and compliance with statutory training requirements. Investment in both indoor and outdoor learning environments has been prioritised through the acquisition of additional educational resources, promoting enriched, child-centred learning opportunities across all areas of development. The setting has also experienced a notable increase in registered children, reflecting the positive impact of new management arrangements and the successful implementation of service improvement initiatives. Furthermore, the introduction of new digital technologies, including laptops and tablets, has enhanced the eiciency of assessment, observation, and record-keeping processes, enabling more eective monitoring, documentation, and sharing of children's developmental progress and achievements with families.

Future Plans:

Moving forward, the setting aims to maintain high standards of care and education while strengthening partnerships with existing families and fostering positive relationships with new families joining the provision. Ongoing investment in inclusive learning resources and educational technology will support children's development and individual needs. The setting will continue to promote its services within the local community to increase occupancy and raise awareness of the provision. Sta will remain committed to continuous professional development through EYFS-focused training to ensure compliance with current best practice and legislative updates. Recruitment of a new manager will also be prioritised to provide strong leadership and support the setting's continued growth and sustainability
