Trustee Annual Report - September 2022 to August 2023.

Charity Name: St Peters Preschool.

Charity Number. 1037397

St Peters Preschool was established over 25 years ago. And is located in the church vestry adjacent to Saint Peters Church in Droitwich. The staff and committee successively manage the preschool together.

Objectives:

To provide a fun and loving preschool to children aged from 2 years and 9 months to school age, that is safe, secure and caring. We also work within the guidelines of Ofsted and then Early Years Foundation.

To provide a safe environment preparing the children socially, intellectually and physically for school.

Enhance the development of children through play.

Achievements:

The preschool has achieved another successful year both through child development and financially.

Welcomed a new chair person to continue the success of running St Peters preschool and also a new member of staff who will continue to develop the intellect and physical capabilities of the children.

Future Plans:

The manager and deputy manager of the preschool both retired at the end of this year. We have welcomed a new manager and deputy manager. The committee for the preschool which has also welcomed new members will train and monitor their performance over this coming year so they are kept up to date with the procedures set by Ofsted and Early years Alliance while continuing to safeguard, develop and learn with the children.

To recruit a Level 3 practitioner

To take on an Administrative Assistant to promote and support the preschool.

A preschool located close to St Peters preschool closed so we want to be prepared to provide extra places for the local children.

New funding for 2 year olds will take place this year, we want to be able to provide places for these.

To purchase more outside play equipment such as a storage shed, sand and water tanks, tree stumps and water play equipment.

To purchase more indoor equipment such as storage, play mats and cushions.

To continue to provide a safe environment for the children from when they start with us right up until they leave us for school.
