E-Mail: heatherrickman36@gmail.com Main Objects of the Trust: a) The Advancement of the Christian Faith as set out in the Nicene Creed. b) The relief of people in poverty or special need including the provision for and assistance and support of orphans, widows, the elderly, handicapped and the physically and mentally ill. Charity Trustees: Miss Heather Rickman, Mrs. Rachel Purser, Rev. Dr. Kenneth Baker and Mrs.Valerie Baker. Activities and Achievements during the year: ## **INDIA** In May 2023 tribal fighting broke out in the area where the Children’s Home and School are located. Many were killed and villages and churches burnt. Some of the children from the Home fled with their relatives, but others stayed with local people. Volunteers managed to keep the attackers at bay, but the situation was very dangerous. Riverside continued to help support the children that were still going to the school (when it reopened) and also to provide relief funds for those in the refugee camps. During the year Pastor Tongminthang made several very arduous journeys over the mountains to reach the area and support the Churches and relief work. ## **ZIMBABWE, AFRICA** Support for Lethabisa School of Cutting, Designing, Dress and Patternmaking in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. This School trains women so that they can earn their own living and support their families. A new School is planned in Kezi, and the land has now been pegged out and cleared. Quotes have been obtained to provide a bore hole for water. The work, however, has been delayed due to illness. ## **PAKISTAN** Towards the end of the year, Riverside began to help support a Christian family and school in Pakistan. ## RIVERSIDE CHRISTIAN MISSION – REPORT 2023/24 - CONTINUED ## **MOZAMBIQUE** Riverside has also begun to help support a Missionary family in Mozambique. Their ministry includes teaching in a Mission School, running children’s work in various villages and planting churches. ## **BRITAIN** The Web Site which enables people to listen to sermons from the Christian Renewal Meetings which were held in Bournemouth from 1979 to 1997 has continued. Many of the preachers were leading Christian Ministers from different denominations and various Countries.
