It is one formal time for our families to come together and review with us the last year and to have a voice in our plans for the coming year. As always you do not need to wait to put forward your ideas and thoughts, your input and support are always welcomed. We have an open door policy at Ducklings, so please come and talk to us at anytime. The last year saw us follow our favourite three learning themes. Autumn term- Eat a rainbow. s￿￿terM- Bird watch and care for them. Summer Term- Bees and their friends rin Autumn term 2023 started off happily as our new friends settled in and we enjoyed the late svnny weather in our ovtdoor classroom. Otsted inspection was carried out in November and due to a missed paperwork reference our overall outcome was very disappointing. The paperwork was sorted immediately, within the same week, and after amazing support from last years parents we were ready for our re-inspection. Spring term 2024 saw Ofsted back with us for our re-inspettion and this time we received a much happier overall inspection report of Good. Also, after saving hard and very kind donations from local businesses we were able to have our old leaking roof, that had seen many temporary repairs replaced. We are now warm. safe and dry for the winter ahead. Summer term 2024 started very sadly with Dawn Hutchinson one of Ducklings play leaders for 20 years deciding it was time for her to hang up her paintbrush and retire. It was with a very heavy heart that we accepted her decision, but on a positive note it meant that we were able to invite 2 new staff to join us. After applications, visits and interviews we were delighted that both Libby Howell and Jamie-Lee Warburton accepted their job offers to join the Ducklings team as Playleaders. We wish them every happiness with us. The comin school ear We feel it will take time for our new staff to settle in and for us all to build a new Ducklings working family and so we are hoping for a quiet, happy settled year.
