Parents are encouraged to become involved in their child's education. Achievements and performance We are Ofsted rated 'good. The children are assessed on entry to the preschool, and this is compared to their end of year assessment. All children have improved in all areas of learning. The children are socially more prepared for school, they are taught about how to look after themselves to keep safe and healthy. Pre-school provides children with a stable, supportive and consistent environment. We have improved links with outside agencies and the affordable childcare provided has enabled many parents to return to work. Para 1.20 Financial review Review of the charity's financial position at the end of the period Para 1.21 The trustees consider the financial position of the charity at 30th Septembor 2024, and its financial performance during the year, to be satisfactory. They consider that the charity is in a strong position to continue its activities during the coming year and beyond if expenditure is managed in line with income. The year saw a surplus of £56,251. The board of trustees is satisfied that the charity's assets in each fund are available and adequate to fulfil its obligations in respect of each fund. We aim to hold sufficient financial reserves to sustain the pre-school if our income falls below expected levels. Some of these reserves were used over the COVID pandemic and show the importance of holding sufficient reserves. Responslbllltles and basis of report As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {'the Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
