Chairs report 2022-2023
Katherine Reed – Chair and Trustee Catsfield Pre School.
I had the pleasure of being nominated and voted in as Chair of Catsfield Pre School in early May 2023.
The staff with quite a newly established team, still finding their feet under the new manager Kerry, after the previous manager, who had been with the setting for over 10 years moved on to pastures new.
Alongside the new team, a new committee was formed to continue the smooth running of the Pre-School.
The committee used these final weeks within the term, after I took over as chair, to concentrate on stream lining policies, opening a new, more efficient bank account and planning exciting fundraising events.
Financially the setting continued to be steady, with support from the local community with various small fundraising avenues, such as cake sales.
Our vision moving forward was to ensure that investments were made into a new storage facility within the hall, upgrading play and educational equipment and investment into further educating the staff.
The feedback from parents has been phenomenal and very supportive. I am excited to see where the next academic year will take us.

CATSFIELD PRE-SCHOOL FINANCIAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDING 31[ST] OF AUGUST 2023
Firstly the staff and committee members would like to thank Lawrence Taylor, MIAB for his past dedicated work and support given to the school over many years, Lawrence has now retired from his position at the end of the financial year handing over the job to me which I gladly accepted having now taken full retirement after a long working life running my own Companies plus serving in various position of management with other companies during my working life. My name is Alec Galloway.
It was left to me to deal with the report for the end of the current financial year although I had not had any input during this period and could not comment on the year's fiancées.
I can only say that with the new management now in place I have seen a very keen and enthusiastic team with well-supported staff and an eager keen group of committee members made up mainly of mothers.
Lawrence’s Income and expenditure report is enclosed for the year ending 31[st] August 2023 and hopefully is self-explanatory.
