Objects: 1) To Educate Families And The Public On The Emotional And Psychological Aspects Of Early Childcare And To Offer Education And Support To Men And Women Making The Transition To Parenthood And New Parents With Their Infants, With A View To Promoting The Development Of Positive Early Family And Parent-Infant Relationships. 2) To Educate, Train And Supervise Parents And Professionals To Provide Such Education And Support. 3) Advancing The Education Of The Public By Raising Public And Professional Awareness Of The Importance Of Parenting And Preventive Education And Support For The Emotional And Relationship Aspects Of The Transition To Parenthood And To Explore Ways Of Meeting These Needs. 4) To Undertake Research Into The Current State And Effectiveness Of Preventive Education And Support Programmes For The Transition To Parenthood And To Publish And Disseminate The Useful Results Thereof.
