## Trustees Report 24/10/2025

## General situation:

This year has been one of great progress and teamwork at Little Oaks Playschool. Our children have thrived; our staff have continued to deliver exceptional care and learning. Our committee of trustees have worked to ensure the long-term stability of the setting. The trustee committee has met regularly throughout the year to ensure compliance with Ofsted and Charity Commission requirements. We have welcomed new trustees this year, currently registering them with Ofsted.

The trustees of Little Oaks Playschool note that the accounts for 2024 to 2025 are true and accurate, and that Playschool have remained open at their purpose-built building in Dennington.

The charity continues to reach its objectives, taking on new children, hiring new staff to meet the needs of the growing demand of places and has been kept in good order.

We were delighted by the positive feedback from Ofsted, achieving outstanding Ofsted rating. Staff have worked tirelessly to support children’s learning and development, ensuring they have a fun and neutering environment to grow and thrive. Our dedicated team have undertaken training. We are proud of their continued enthusiasm for professional development and for mainting such a caring and positive environment.

## Financial situation:

The 2025 annual summary and accounts have been completed and balanced; they have been signed off by a third-party official. Thanks to successful fundraising events, we were able to purchase new equipment. Rising costs in utilities and resources remain a challenge, but careful budgeting has kept us in a strong financial position.

Looking ahead, our priorities include strengthening links with local community, continue to invest in outdoor learning, and exploring funding opportunities to enhance our facilities.

I would like to extend heartful thanks to our staff team for their unwavering dedication, to our families for their support and trust, and to our committee for their time and commitment behind the scenes.

It has been a privilege to serve as Chair this year. With strong, caring team and wonderful community support, the Playschool continues to offer children the very best start in their learning journey.
