Ofsted Inspection last took place 121h December 2024 and we are prc￿d to be awarded a 'Good' grade a¢ross all areas of judgement. We were advised on one reComn￿ndati0n to further develop age- appropriate interactions with younger thildren. The Inspector advised 'thildren feel safe and secure at this nurturing pre-school - there is an open and positive culture around safe9uarding that puls children first- leaders plan a curriculum that prepares children for the next stage of their leaming- children are immersed in a language rlch environment,.

We provKle a homely, stimulating, safe and secure leaming environment with dedicated highly qualified staff who promote the children's unique leaming styles and their next steps. Drayton Dalsy Chain Pre•School 18 registered for full day care between the hours Monday - Thursday 8.00 a.m- 3.00 p.m and Fridays 8.00 a.m and 12.00 p.m. The Manager Mrs Sara Thorpe has been working here for over ￿enty years and the Manager Sin￿ 2020, baginning as a parent rotalt)ank staff to completing her Foundation Degree in Earfy Years. Mrs Thorpe's children have attended, and grandchildren currently attend the setting. Mrs Thorpe is our DSL Designated Safeguarding Lead. promoting welfare and creating safe environments for children while being accountable for managing Safeguarding concems. Mr$ Vikki Murray has been with us since 2020 as our Early Years Advisor and then becoming jolnt Manager, Winning as our Trident Student and staying with us when going to collage to gain her Qualified Teacher status, working in Hampshire and Dubia. Mrs Vikki Murray has al80 gained her Level 3 qualificAtion in Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCOI. In the summer team we run a 'School Starter Session, wn by Mrs Murray this is to support the children in their Transition to school, the children make excellent progress with their sounds and blending using Stage 1r2 Phonics. Mr8 Emma Callaway has been with u8 ft>r over 11 year8, 8tudying for her Level 3 Early Year8 qualrfication and more recently her Level 2 qualification in Special Education Needs Coordinator (SEMCO), responsible for rnanaging, identifying, planning arKI supporting children that require extra educational, physical or Èehaviour needs M￿S Callaway s children have atterKJed our setting. W8 are contracted by Portsmouth Earfy Years to offer chlldren: the 30 hours entitlement for qualrfying thildren of woth'ng parents aged from 9 nionths until the child tums 2 years old. The 30 hours entrtlernent for qualtfying children of working parents aged 2. The 15 hours entitlement for families with 2-year-olds receivin9 aaditional forms of support (formerly known as the 2-year-old disadvantaged entitlement). The univer8al 15 hours entitlement for all 3 arrtl 4-year-olds the temi after their birthday and Ihe additional 15 hours entrtlement for qualfying children of wowking parents aged 3 and 4. Thi5 is very powlar for our families, enabling parents more fiexibility around childcare and working.

Where possible we are extremely flexible with our hours and this allows us to accommodate our families, requirements for hwh qualty childcare. Staff continue with their Professional Developmenl by in penwn training and Elearning. all staff have a minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification, Includi￿ a Foundation Degree and Qualified Tead)ef With Level 213 SENCO acmJitations. All have their own keyperson groups enabling strong attachments to be fomied and we do Startiro Points, Two Year Old Checks arKI 314 Check6 this feeds into Next Steps for hildren to progress their individual leaming and development whilst ensuring and enabling us to wovide Individual Educational Plans arKI outsidè professionals agency's to support their learning needs. AJI staff have one to one tsrnly Supervisions, discussing workload, safeguardlng, professional development. well-being and achievements. The Management Team regulaty produ￿ a budget forecast to prwsent to our Commlttee to ensure are ability to continue to provide high quality childcare, stsff training, Improvements to our indoorloutside environment and resour￿. We continue to promote the pre-school in our local community via our Webslte and Facebook. We have excellent links to our local elderly community 'Friendship Group, we visit temily to sing songs together bringir¥J much Joy and smiles to Child￿Th and adults. Children perfonned 'Our First Nativity. in Drayton Unrted Church whi¢h all our children love performing in and parenvcarers have ff￿ch pleasure in watching. It is always our start to Christmas. The children have a Chn'stmas Party with a Magic Show, followed by a walk through in Father Christmas's Grotto The pre-school conts'nues with our firm links wilh local and further afield Infants Schools, we have mainly visits frorn the schools which support our childrenlfamilies with the transition to school. We have a beautiful individual and group Graduation Photograph and an emotional leavers ceremony for children and fam￿leS to attend.
