the development and education of children under the statutory school age, this invcAves offering a
stimulating, safe and secure leaming environment wth highly qualffied motivated staff, to promote Ihe
children's unique leaming St￿eS and next steps.

12.'00 on Fndays. In the summer temi we run a 'School
Starter Session. run by Mrs Murray (Qualified Teacher) this is to support the child in their transition to
sch¢)ol, the children made e￿￿lent progress with their sounds and blending enabling us to move on
to Phase 2 phonics. We offer a healthy snac* and children bring in their pad( lunches.
We are contracted by PortsmoLrth Early Years to offer children the tem after their 3Td birthday
Universal Funding 15 hours per week for 38 weeks per year. As of Apn'l 2024 the Govemment
intrOdU￿d this fijnding offer for children from 2 years for working parents.
If families meet the criteria that have Nursery Education Grant Funding 15 hours per w￿k for 38
weeks per year. We are also registered for the govemment disadvantaged 2 year old funding and
have had a couple of families meeting the criteria. We registered wth Portsmouth L¢xal Education
Authority to offer the additional 15 hours of Universal Hours 811owing sever81 working families to claim
30 hours of Free Nursery Educational Funding. This has Frf)pular for our families with a gwd
percentage taking their fijll 30 hours. This allowed for all our Practrtioners to retum in September with
confirmed hours In February 2024 we lowered our age range to accept chIld￿n from 1 years old to
attend our setting. This was due to the families in our I￿1 (*mmunrty needing more spa￿$ for their
yOLJnger children. We also made this change as we are aware in September 2024 the Govemment
will be lowering their funding age to start at 9 months old for 15 hours free childcare for V￿rkIng
parents.
