The charity alms to encourage and educate the Gujarati communlty in Hindu culture and heritage.
Trustees/dlrectors give careful consideration to plan activitie5 which brings together the communlty
by arranging visits to Hindu temples, social and reliElous events, like meat parties, navratri and diwall
celebrations, and organising communlty events to raise funds for other charities.

The trainlng and induction provided for new members is dependent upon their existing experience and

Reserves pollcv
It is the poll¢y of the charity to use its reserves to settle the building construction loan. repair, maintain,
refurbish and extend the community hall, where majority of the religious and social events are held.

Statement of Trustees/Directors' Responsibilities
The Charity Trustees are responsible for preparing a trustees, annual report and financial Statements
in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United KinEdom
Generally Accepted Accounting Practi￿)
Company law requires the charlty trustees to prepare financial statements for each year which
give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charitable company and the group and of the
incoming resources and application of resources, including the income and expenditure, of the
charitable group for that period. In preparlng the financial statements, the trustees are rquired to..
•select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently,.
• observe the methods and principles in the Charitles SORP,.
make judgement5 and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
state whether applicable UK accounting standards have been ftillowed, subject to any
material departure5 disclosed and explained in the financlal statements,.
prepare the frnancial statements on the 80Sng concern basls unless it is inappropriate to
presume that the charity will continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for keeplng proper accounting records that dlsclose with rea50nableaccuracy at any
time the financial posltion of the charity and to enable them to ensure thatthe financial statement5 comply with
the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the chaTily and the group and
hence taking reasonable Steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. The trustee5 are
responsible for the malntenance and integrlty of the corporate and financial Information included on the
charitable company's webslte. Le8islation in the United Kingdom governing the preparation and dissemination of
financial statements may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.
Statement a5 to dlsclosure to our audltors
In so far as the trustees are aware at the time of approving our trustees, annual report,.
there is no relevant information, being Informa￿on needed by the audltor in connectfon with
preparlng their report, of which the group's auditor is unaware, and
the trustees, having made enquiries of fellow directors and the group's auditor that they
ought to have individually taken, have each taken all steps that he/she is obliged to take
as a director in order to make themselves aware of any relevant audit information and to
establish that the auditor is aware of that information.

We have audited the financial statements of Darli Mitra Mandal of the UK for the year ended 315t March 2025
which comprise the Statement of Financial information. Income and Expenditure Account, Balance Sheet and the
related notes. The financial reporting framework that ha5 been applied in their preparatlon is applicable law and
United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
This report is made solely to the charitable company's members, as a body, in accordance with Chapter 3
of Part 16 of the Companies Act 2006. Our audit work has been undertaken so that we might state to the charitable
company's members those matters we are required to state tothem in an auditor's report and for no other purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the
charitable company and the charitable company's members as a body, for our audit work. for this report, or for
the opinions we have formed.

Our responsibility is to audit and express an opinion on rhe flnanclal statements in accordance wlth
applicable law and Internatlonal Standards on Auditing (UK and Ireland) Those standards require us to comply
with the Auditing Practices 8oard's Ethical Standards for Auditors.
Scope of the audlt of f Inanclal statements
An audit involves obtainlng evidence about the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements sufflcient to
give reasonable a55urance that the flnancial statements are free from material mlsstatement, whether caused by
fraud or error. This includes an assessment of., whether the accounting policie5 are appropriate to the charitable
company's circumstances and have been consistently applied and adequately disclosed; the reasonableness of
significant accounting estirnates made by the trustees,. and the overall presentatlon of the financial statements.
In additlon, we read all the financial and non-financial information in the Trustees, annual report to identify
material inconsistencies with the audited financial statements. If we become aware of any apparent materlal
misstatements or inconslstencies we consider the implicatlons for our report.

In our opinion the flnancial statements
give a true and fair view of the state of the charity's affairs as at 31st March 2025
and of its incoming resources and application of resources, including the charity's income and expenditure,
for the year then ended;
have been properly prepared in accordance with the United Kingdom Generally
Accepted Accounting Practice (applicable to smaller entities) and
have been properly prepared in accordance with the requirements ofthe Companies Act 2006

11 ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The principal accounting policies have been applied consistently throughout the year and in the preceding year.
lal Basis of accounting
The financial statements have been prepared In accordance with Accounting and Reporting by
Charities- Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applic2ble in the UK arid Republic of Ireland IFRS
1021 (effective l January 20151- Icharities 50RP IFRS 10211. the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the U K and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the Companies Act 2006.
Ibl Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the general
objectives of the charity. Unrestricted funds include a revaluation reserve representing the restatement
of Investment a55ets at market values.
Designated funds are unre5tTlCted funds earmarked by the Management Committee for particular purposes.
Restrlcted funds are subjected to restrictions on their expenditure imposed by the donor or through the terms
of an appeal.
(c) Incomlng resources
All incoming resources are included in the statement of financial activities when the charity is entitled to the
income and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy. The following specific pollcies are applied
to particular categories of income..
Voluntary income is received by way of grants, donations and gifts and is included in full in the Statement
of Financial Activlties when receivable. Grants, where entitlement is not conditional on the delivery of a
5peclfic performar)ce by the charity, are recognised when the charity becomes unconditionally entitled
to the grant.
Donated servlces and facilities are included at the value to the charity where this can be quantified.
The value of services provided by volunteers has not been included in these accounts.
Investment income is Included when receivable.
• Incoming resources from charitable trading activity are accounted for when earned.
Incoming resources from grants, where related to performance and specific deliverables, are accounted for
as the charity earns the right to consideration by it5 performance.
Net incoming resources are shown in accounts as the functions are not held for fund-raising purposes. but
are religious and Social activities.
(d) Resources expended
ExpendltLJre is recognised on an accrual basis as a liability is incurred. Expenditure includes any VAT which
cannot be fully recovered, and is reported as part of the expenditure to whlch it relates..
Costs of generating funds comprise the costs associated with attratting voluntary income and the costs of
trading for fundraising purposes.
Charitable expenditure comprises those costs incurred by the charity in the delivery or its activlties and
service5 for its beneficiaries. It includes both costs that can be allocated directly to such activities and
those c05t5 of an indirect nature necessary to support them.
Governance costs include those costs associated with meeting the constitutional and statutory requirement5
of the charity and Include the audit fees and costs linked to the strategic management of the charity.
All costs are allocated between the expenditure categories of the SOFA on a basis designed to reflect the use
of the resource. Costs relating to a particular activity are allocated directly. others are apportioned on an
appropriate basi5 e.g. f loor areas• per capita or estimated usage as set out in Note 3.

As a charity, Darli Mitra Mandal of the UK is exempt from tax on income and galns falling
within sections 485 to 488 of the Corporation Taxes Act 2010 or section 256 of the Taxation
of Chargeable Gains Act 1992 to the extend that these are applied to its charitable objects.
