Objectives and Activities
Rhuddlan Playgroup aims to:

Provide a high-quality standard of care that enhances the social, personal and educational development and wellbeing of pre-school children, in a safe and stimulating environment.

Provide an environment where children can have fun, feel safe, develop independence, confidence and self-esteem through interaction and play with peers and staff.

Support children and their families/carers where necessary with any other needs, help or professional contacts where possible.

Support families and children as they move from our early years setting in to the school setting.

Embrace the ethos and principles of Early Years Wales
Legal status: Rhuddlan Playgroup is currently a Charity run Playgroup
Funding and funded places
Rhuddlan Playgroup is registered for funded hours from Childcare Offer Wales with both Denbighshire and Conwy. If your child is 3 or 4 years old and you meet the criteria you may be entitled to some funded hours at our playgroup as follows:

3 years and not yet in Nursery Class - up to 20 hours of childcare funding

3/4 years and currently attending Nursery Class - up to 17.5 hours funding

This may increase to 30 hours per week during holidays to be used at another setting that provides holiday time childcare.
Rhuddlan Playgroup also works with Denbighshire County Council to provide Early Entitlement funding . If your child is 3 but not yet in Nursery Class,
you may be entitled to 10 hours of funded care. Our Early Entitlement sessions are provided from 9am to 11:30 am Monday to Thursday only.
Achievements and Performance:
As we are still very much dealing with the covid situation many things such as gatherings and fundraising are still being affected. The group has had to close as legally required on occasion due to covid issues. We are however, continuing to run the group and are hopeful that we will be able to continue post covid, if financially viable.
Financial Review
We are currently able to continue running and are hopeful that covid will not limit the groups future.
