The aims of the Pr￿schOol are to enhance the development and educ*ion of chiklren primarily undèr
statutory School age by encouraging parents to understsnd and provide for the need8 of their children
through ¢ommunty gTOUPS arKI by".
Offering appropriate play, education and care fa¢ilities, famity leaming and extended hours groups,
together with the rvJht of parents to take responsibilty for and lo becom¢ involved in the activitie$
of such groups, ensuring that such grcwpg offer Opportun[t￿ for all chikjren wh*evèr their race,
culture, religion, means or abilty..
. Encouraging the study of the need5 of such children and theirfamilies promoting public interest
in and recognition of $u¢h needs in the local areas..
x. Instigating and adhering to and furthering the aims and objects of the Pre-school learning Alliance
Structure. govemance and managemenl
The nursery is an unincorporated body which adopted rt5 original constitution on 27th Octcl)er 1993 and
registered as a charty on 6th April 1994. Al a meeting of the members on 17th November 2011 the
nursery adopted the model pre-school constitub.on of the Pre4chwl Learning Alliance
The overall management and ¢orrtrcl of the nursery rests with the indNidual members of the nursery
management commitiee, who are also the chanty trustees.
Th8 minimum number of cow*mittee members is S and the maximum 12. together with up to a further 3
¢¢￿pted members. The commrttee Consists of a Chair, Treasurer and Secretsry, Ilhe officers). and not
less than 2 nor rt￿re than 9 other elected members. and up to 3 further members COaOPted al any lim
after the AGM.
Commitiee members are elttted for one year at the AGM and retiring mgmbers may be r&elected
unless they have already seNed on the committee in any capacty for ten consecutive years. C¢ropled
members may I￿n at any t1￿￿ on the invrtation of the wnmrtiee but shall retire at the next AGM and
shall not seNe for more than six COn￿￿t￿e years.

The policy of the nursery 18 lo maintain an cperational ￿Serve sufftient to mg81 the running C￿1$ of
the nursery for a period of su months should sources of income be curtailgj.
The financial statements have been p￿Pared in accordance wilh section 133 chant￿ Act 2011
(receipt5 and payments basis). The nursery had a profft of £27,964.55 in the year and measures are
being taken to ensure that income matches ewdrture gjiro forwaftl.
