To promote the relief of all persons with a learning disability within the area of Elmbridge Borough Council
Objects: To Promote The Relief Of All Persons With A Learning Difficulty Within The Area Of Elmbridge Borough Council And To Assist Those Persons To Realise Their Full Potential To Lead Fulfilling Lives By The Provision Of A Service (Known As Advocacy) Which Will : 1. Assist A Person With Learning Difficulty To Obtain His Or Her Full Rights And Privileges As A Citizen; 2. Provide Long-Term Personal Friendship And Support; 3. Provide Advice And Support On A One To One Basis To Persons With Learning Difficulties; Provide Community Based Drop In Centres And Workshops; Whether Those Persons Live In Residential Care Or Reside Independently In Their Own Homes Or With Relatives.
