THE GUIDE ASSOCIATION SHROPSHIRE COUNTY FINANCIAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 JULY 2024 Financial Review This year we have undertaken a review of our investments and moved them onto a managed platform using local Financial Advisers. The Finance Committee agreed Ihis was the best way to continue to manage our funds. We also maintained the fees we charge to our members by agreeing any shortfall was lo be covered by our cash Savings. This was in acknowledgement to the funds we have and how lo best support our members. ReseNes Polic The trustees have agreed lo maintain a pdicy of 3 years worth of rent and setvice charge payments for the county office which equates lo approximately £52.000 and will be reviewe(l al every financial year end The bank balances al the year end continue lo be in excess of this wlicy and we expecl Io spend funds in line with this policy in lulure financial peri(KJs Free reserves at the year end were £139.530 which are a representation of the charivs unreslricled funds12023: £199,950) Public Benefit In planning our activities for the year the truslees have had due regard for the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit. In fulfilling the aim of Guiding. being the development of girts and young women, the Charity has organised activities and supported leaders in running events physically and virtually.
