Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

The setting has been working to capacity this year. It has been a testing time for the pre-school as our current landlords Fakenham town council, gave us notice to leave the premises by October 2024. The building is to be demolished, and a government funded Swimming pool is to be built. The consequence for the pre-school was to find another suitable building in a relatively short amount of time, as the new site would need to be registered with Ofsted. After lots of networking and searching we were offered the use of the local Rugby Club. We would continue to be a Pack away setting but the building would meet our needs. The academic year for the children remainded the same .The team agreed we would not talk about a move until we returned in September to ensure the children did not become unsettled. After lots of pf planning and preparation the big move was made, and we reopened at the Rugby club in November 2024. We continue to support an Apprentice. The year was both filled with celebrations and sadness. The local community were supportive and helped us with the move.

The charities main source of income is funding from the local authority. 2-year disadvantaged funding

¾ year statutory 15 hrs per week funding

3- and 4-year extended funding for 15 hours for working families We do have some fee-paying children, but this is not our main income.

The expenditure covers staff wages and training to deliver the care and education to the children. Rent for the building.

Other expenditures are necessary to deliver the service to the families. Insurance, registration fees to Ofsted……..
