## Provide education to 2-4 year olds 

Bradford Abbas preschool provides education for children aged between 2-4 years of age. Children government funded and fee payers attend. We ensure children are ready for the next stage in their educational journey, giving them the best start in their early years. 

## Provides free advice to benefices 

We support the children and their families with all aspects of childcare, and development. We offer free parenting advice and support for the whole family.

## Support families in deprivation 

We accept two year old funding, which enables children who are classed as deprived to access early years education and have their development monitored. We also sign post families to other services which may be beneficial. 

## Community fundraisers 

Our fundraiser events are organised to involve all members of the local community, and support local businesses.

Volunteers play an integral role in the pre-school either through their commitment as trustees, support with fundraising or involvement in the day to day running of the setting.

## Section D                      Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

The pre-school increased its hours from 21 hours to 24 hours by extending the Thursday Session to finish at 3pm. This took effect from 6[th] September 2021. From April 2023 preschool increased again to 26 hours per week extending the Wednesday session to 1pm. 

The pre-school provided care and education to a total of 24 children throughout the year. 

We have focused on bringing in more of the outside in to encourage knowledge on the environment and using different materials for sensory play. 

Also we started to visit Bradford Abbas primary school and use their outdoor play facilities to give the children a another environment to play in. 

The committee held events such as Bingos, quizzes, raffles as well as a big breakfast which raised a total of £5,644.75. 

At the end of the year, we had 24 children attending.20 of which were in receipt of the early education grant from Dorset CC.

The pre-schools principal source of funding comes from the Early Education Grant (EEG) for two and three year olds and a few children who are fee payers.
