Annual Report 2022
Objectives:
To pursue the objectives of Girlguiding concerned with assessing girls and young women to fulfil their potential to take an active and responsible role in society.
Activities:
At last, we think it is safe to say that we no longer have any Covid restrictions, therefore we feel we are getting back to normal. This year we had a summer camp in the New Forest and not forgetting Scoutabout which is a joint camp with scouts and guides from Surrey West when over 4000 youngsters descended on the South of England Showground, Sussex and took part in an exciting and busy weekend camp. Other activities were ten pin bowling, a cinema visit, Waterfun day and boating at Paxmead, ice skating at Hampton Court and two sleepovers at our HQ.
This year we are again booked to go on a summer camp – we sincerely hope we manage to get there.
Achievements:
The new Guiding programme is now well established with the Gold Award being the highest award which can be gained by the Guides before they leave at the age of 14 years. This year 10 of our Guides gained their Gold award.
In our Ranger section where they work towards the Queen’s Guide Award and Adult Leadership qualification, three gained both the Queen’s Guide award and the Adult Leadership certificate.
An excellent result for the year.
For the year ended 31[st] December, 2022.
