**- Review of the Year 2024 25**
## **The Commi�ee is pleased to report a fundraising total for the academic year of £36,807 and dona�ons to the school of £28,970.**
Fundraising: It was another fantas�c year of fundraising, with a record-breaking total of £36,807. The Christmas Fair (with gro�o) was the biggest fundraiser and a real community event, raising £7,141. The donkeys were again a highlight for the children! We were very fortunate to have several parents who came forward with offers of matchfunding from their employers, raising a staggering £6,781. Please do contact your employer to see if this is something they might offer. Our next biggest fundraiser, held on a scorching day, was the Summer Fair, which raised £5,548. This was themed around the School’s 350[th] birthday celebra�ons where we had tea cup rides and lots of crowd-pleasing stalls for the children. The PTA also held a ‘Days Out’ raffle at the Summer Fair, raising a further £1,416. In the countdown to Christmas, we saw the return of the rainbow hamper raffle, with generous dona�ons from parents, raising £2,326. We held our annual cake/lolly sales every week during the summer term, with a healthy fruit alterna�ve from our Recep�on parents, raising £1,955. The school disco returned for a second year, which was another hugely popular and successful event, with a profit of £1,661. The PTA held its inaugural Colour Run in the school grounds, for something a bit different to the Fun Runs held previously in Knole Park. This proved to be a lot of fun with many happy, colourful children (and adults!) and made a phenomenal £1,655. In keeping with the 350[th] anniversary celebra�ons, each year group had the op�on to purchase a 350[th] tea towel with a self portrait from every child, raising £1,426. Second hand uniform was in demand, with numerous sales held throughout the year, raising £1,119. Mother’s Day plants proved a winner amongst loved ones and made a profit of £1,064 - the children very much enjoyed choosing their primroses and decora�ng their bags. The PTA managed to secure a number of dona�ons and grants during the year, totalling £1,062. Film Night was well received again, with the younger children watching ‘Sing’ and Year 6 enjoying ‘Wonka’, whilst raising a fantas�c £941. Break The Rules Day is always a highlight in the school calendar; this year making £930. The Christmas card project was also a hit, with some beau�ful designs and raising funds of £653. In early December, one of our talented parents held a wreath workshop, making a profit of £380. The final event was the Bed�me Read held a�er school for Recep�on and Year 1, with many of Lady Boswell’s teachers involved in reading to the excited children, dressed in their pyjamas with a cup of hot chocolate. This was equally enjoyable for teachers and children and raised £319. Lastly, we received contribu�ons from Easyfundraising (£176), S�kins (£137) and My Nametags (£117).

accounts. At 31 August 2025 this figure was £36,891. The Commi�ee works closely with the school to agree how funds should be spent and holds the principle that monies raised should be spent within a reasonable �me and in a way that can best benefit the pupils and the school.

## **PTA Structure, Governance and Objec�ves**
Lady Boswell’s Parent Teacher Associa�on is an associa�on of which all parents/carers of pupils and teaching and non-teaching staff of Lady Boswell’s Primary School are automa�cally members. It is governed by its revised cons�tu�on adopted on 3[rd] November 2023, which is based on the Parentkind model cons�tu�on. The Commi�ee is elected from the membership and for the period under review the following members made up the Commi�ee: Sharon Saunders (Chair), Rebecca Rushton (CoTreasurer/Vice-Chair), Louise Mullen (Co-Treasurer), Jill Bond (Secretary), Sarah O’Prey, Erica Popplewell, Celia McDonnell, Gemma Bailey, Gersande Coudyser, Alix Carnegie, Isida Pierce, Naomi Hunt and Manuela Magalhaes. Jemma Jackson and Danielle Lau�er stepped down with effect from 1[st] September 2024. The objec�ve of Lady Boswell’s PTA is to advance the educa�on of the pupils of Lady Boswell’s C.E. Primary School by fundraising to provide ac�vi�es and facili�es (not normally provided by the Local Educa�on Authority). When planning our ac�vi�es for the year, the Commi�ee has considered the Charity Commission’s guidance on public
## **Co-Headteachers’ Thanks**
As you will see from this PTA Report and Accounts for the last academic year, our amazing PTA Commi�ee, with your support, has once again done an outstanding job. Their dedica�on and crea�vity have not only raised significant, much-needed funds to enhance every child’s experience at Lady Boswell’s, both now and in the future, but have also brought our community together through a wonderful range of fun, welcoming, and memorable events.
We are also especially grateful for the con�nued success of the Pre-Loved Uniform Shop, which provides invaluable support to so many of our families.
During the 2024–2025 academic year, an extraordinary total of £36,807 was raised. These funds have been directed towards a variety of important projects, including IT upgrades, improvements to outdoor facili�es, classroom fit-outs, and alloca�ons for each Class Teacher to use according to their class’s specific needs.
We have been truly blessed with such a dedicated and crea�ve Commi�ee, and we are deeply grateful for your ongoing support. As men�oned in the PTA’s email of 9th October, several key members of the Commi�ee will be stepping down at the end of Term 2, a�er years of remarkable service. Our hear�elt thanks go to them, and to all of you who con�nue to support their work.

You do not need to be on the Commi�ee to get involved, you can offer to be a ‘Friend of the PTA’. Friends provide support for PTA events but they do not normally a�end Commi�ee mee�ngs (which take place once a term).

## **Matched Funding**
This is a fantas�c scheme whereby employers provide funding for charitable organisa�ons such as the PTA through their employees. It is a very simple yet immensely valuable resource from which extra funding can be raised for our school. In most cases, the company will match pound for pound up to a maximum level per employee each year. We are fortunate to have parents at the school who work for companies that do matched funding including State Street Bank, Ernst & Young, Addleshaw Goddard, BMS Group and Visa. _**There are hundreds more companies offering matched funding so please contact your Human Resources department to find out if they operate a scheme**_ **and email us at ladyboswellspta@googlemail.com so that we can build a database and hopefully access this funding.**

Easyfundraising (www.easyfundraising.org.uk) is an excellent FREE service where you can shop with your favourite online stores and at the same �me, at no cost to you, raise funds for Lady Boswell’s. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31/ 08/ 2025** . **Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
**Independent** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
