|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|During the FY 2023 - 2024 we continued<br>to build on the ‘outstanding’ status awarded<br>by Ofsted. We provided an outstanding<br>level of childcare and preschool education<br>to families in Ogbourne St. George and the<br>surrounding villages and towns.<br>Our financial position improved throughout<br>the year with increasing numbers of<br>children taking advantage of the excellent<br>facilities available.<br>The change in the management structure,<br>which occurred during the previous year,<br>continued to benefit the pre -school with<br>increased numbers and greater enthusiasm<br>from staff and parents alike.<br>We provided support to families going<br>through significant financial challenges.<br>We successfully raised funds for the<br>ongoing supply and improvement of<br>resources through fundraising events such<br>as autumn and easter parties, and a<br>summer fair to celebrate the 40th<br>anniversary of the pre school.|





We worked closely with the Village Hall Committee as their major user and tenant. We also have a close relationship with local primary schools and staff liaised with the school teachers to ensure a smooth transition for children from pre-school to school.

## **Financial Review**

Review of the charity’s  Para 1.21  Little Dragons Pre School had an income of<br>financial position at the end  £64,101 and an expenditure of £64,550<br>of the period  giving a deficit of £449 this financial year.<br>At the end of August we had £8,609 in our<br>cash account and petty cash.  Taking into<br>consideration the additional £5,418 in the<br>savings account, and the expected income<br>and expenditure for the next academic year<br>the Committee considers that we are in a<br>stable condition for the next financial year.<br>Statement explaining the  Para 1.22  We have a savings account to ensure that<br>policy for holding reserves  we are able to meet salary costs and other<br>stating why they are held  commitments in the event of unexpected<br>circumstances. **Report to the trustees/** Charity Name **members of** Little Dragons Pre-school Ogbourne **On accounts for the year** 31/08/2024 **Charity no** 1034043 **ended (if any) Set out on pages** 1-7 I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/08/2021. **Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination ~~(other than that disclosed below *)~~ which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or 

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or 

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
