Report of the Trustees for the year ended 30" June 2025

Trustees

During the year, the following trustees were in office: MB Allen (Chairperson), A A Henley, C M Livingstone & M McGill.

Recruitment & appointment of trustees

Trustees are appointed at the discretion of the Board of Trustees for a term of four years. Trustees resign at the end of their four-year term and can be reappointed, or new trustees can be recommended by members of the current Board and approved by the Rotary Club of Seaford.

Activities

Unrestricted Funds

Fund-Raising events organized on behalf of the Trust resulted in gross receipts of £26,402.78,

Gifts and donations received totaled £2,409.91, Income from Business Partners amounted to £1,350,00 which, together with Gift Aid Tax refund of £5,388.50, contribution from The Rotary Club of Seaford of £382.12 and bank interest of £609.28 increased the gross receipts of Unrestricted income of the Charity for the year to £36,542.59.

Costs of fund-raising events amounted to £2,223.27 and other expenses amounted to £4,555.51, bringing total outgoings to £6,778.78 and net receipts of £29,763.81. The terms of the Charitable Trust Deed of 10" February 1994 provide that the income of the Charity is expended on such charitable objects and purposes as the Rotary Club of Seaford directs . During the year, a total of £27,567.54 was expended from Unrestricted funds leaving an excess of receipts over payments for the year of £2,196.27. This excess, less the transfer of £1,000.00 to Restricted Funds, and added to the accumulated cash and bank balances of £29,535.27, brought forward from earlier years left Cash and Bank balances amounting to £30,731.54 to carry forward.

In making grants and donations throughout the year, the trustees have had due regard to guidance published by the Charity Commission on public benefit and the conditions laid out in the Charitable Trust Deed dated 10" February 1994. Restricted Funds

Donations and Gift Aid received amounted to £23,850.00, Distributions in accordance with the wishes of the donors amounted to £24,669.51 leaving net payments of £819.51. After allowing for a transfer from Unrestricted Funds of £1,000.00 and the balance brought forward of £7,947.58, the balance on 30™ June 2025 amounts to £8,128.07.

The Trustees are of the opinion that the funds held at the end of the financial year are a reasonable amount to carry forward to the following year and to pay for committed projects.

Responsibilities and basis of report.

As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
