To follow the curriculum for the Earty Years Foundation Stage,
providing qualty care and education for 2-5 year olds, giNing all
the chitdren the opportunrty to de7Aop their potential and make
progress ttr4Rrds the Early Leaming Goals., to enable the children
to de%eFop their independence, make ftiendships and have fun
leaming through play.

The Chaiity offered 30 h(wrs thtklcare and educalion per week within
school tenn time between September 2021 and August 2022. The
Sessi￿ provide Earfy Years FouTrJalion Stage education for 2-5 year
cAds. Prevschool open￿1 Mondays to Fridays for 6 hours a day. We
reSer￿d the nght to dose sessions rf there was inadequate uptake to
make tt finanoally vIa￿e to OFen, hixever we only had to dose on one
day due to extreme weather. in this situa'on, altemab"¥E sessions within
the week were offered to families so they did not lose out. Part day arKI
full day sessions are available., we try to acumm￿late all requests rf at

Our staff undertake regular stalulory and voluntary traning, including
Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding. We keep up io date with char
in legislation so that we can provide a relevant Ser¥7￿ to our users.

additFonal needs their child may have (either known before they arrive at
pr￿schOol or tecoming apparent during their time with us), e.g. liaising

in their leaming experience.

In 2021-22. 31 thildren aged 2-5 years attended the pre-scho￿. We ￿re
open for 38 weeks (approx. 1140 h<yJrs in toL￿)
We open for 38 weeks to enable families to daim their Govemment
funding (2 year old funding where eligible. 3 & 4 year old 'universal
funding" and 30 hours 'extended entitlem8nf for eligible 3 & 4 year olds).
We also offer spxes to thildren who are not yet eligible for funding, and
extra pai&for sessions to those who fequire additional hours above thèir
funded entit1err￿t.

The Chanvs principd source of income is from DeNDn County Council
Early Years Education Funding and T￿ty) Year Old Funding (subject to
children beirKJ eligible).
Families who are not yet entilled lo funding, or those wish to attend
additional hours. will pay an hourly rate to attend ses￿On$. The hourty
rate is review￿1 at least annually, and is considered carefully (taking into
account local (x)mpetrtors' rates and funning costs).
Addibona5 funds are raiwj from small. locally held events throughout the
year, s￿h as donations, money raised fr(xn bingo and spmsored events.
We are grateful for the sUpp￿t of local businesses and organisations
who don* to our funds from time to tirro.
Funds from fundraisiThJ and donations have bean used IcAvards
improving the setting. special trips, equipment, and experiences (e.g. end
of tenn trip.. sports equipment: IT equipmerrt etc). We con*der carefully
how expenditure and wrchase of equipment wll benefit the Chanty. in
particular the thildren wtlo use our servi￿.
This year we made a surFAus of £7.992.76. Appfox £1500 of this was
funding alocated for the previous year, which w)uld have brought the
previous year into credit had li been • earlier. £5000 has been
transferred into our reserves ￿￿)Unt for redundancy and other costs in
the event of a S￿￿den dosure. We anticiwe that the next year may te
less productive due to the sharp increase in the ￿$t of liwng and we may
need to use reseThEs that we have buim up to mainL*n the high standard
