a. Going ¢on¢em
After making appropriate enquiries. the TTUStees have a reasonable expectation that the Charitsble company

b. Reseryes poli¢y
The end of the National Citizen Serwce (NCS) Programme as of 31 March 2025, resulted in a reouclion in

e. Principal ri*ks and un¢ertalntiès
Following the end of the NCS contract. Action4Youth's finanaal model is now very different than it has been in

also acknowledge the challenging econcvnic and polib"¢al environment in %thi¢h we are operating which impacts

While fundraising performance in recent years has been strong, we are conscious of the ￿mpetitive

Audltor's responslbllities for the audit of the finan¢6al statements
We have been appcinted as auditor under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 and report in acc￿dance wrlh
the Act and Televant regulations made or having effecl thereunder.
Our objectives are to obtsin reasonable assurance about whether Ihe finan(ial statements as a vthole are free
from material misstatement. whether due to frau¢J or error. and to issue an Auditor's Report that indudes our
opinion. Reasonable assurance is a high level of assurance. but is not a guarantee thal an audit conducted in
accordance with ISAS IUKI will detect a material mi&8talement when it exists. Misstatements can arise
Irom fraud or error and are considered material if. indiwdually or in the aggregate. they could reasonably be
expected lo influence the economic decisions of users taken on the basis of these financi81 $18lemènts.
Irregularities, Induding fraud. are instsnces of non<ompliance with laws and regulations. We design
procedures in line wth our responsibilities. outlined above. to detect material misstatements in respect of
irregularities. including fraud. The extent to vthich our procedures are capable of detecting irregularities,
including fraud is detailed below=
we consider the nalure of the industry and sector, control enwronment and business performance including
the remuneration in￿￿￿"Ve$ antl pressures of key management",
the primary responsiknlity for Ihe prevenbon and detection of fraud rests with both those charged with
govemance of the entty and management. We consider the ￿sUlts of our enquiries of management about
their own identification and assessment of the risks of i￿egularitIeS..
any matters we identtfied hawng obtsineil and reviewed the Charitable Companls documentation of their
policies and proCedU￿S relating to-.
idenlifw"ng, evalijating and complying wth laws and regulations and whether they were aware of any
instances of non<ompliance.'
(5etecting and responding to the risks of fraud and whether they havo knowledge of any actual.
suspected or alleged fraud:
the inlemal controls estsblished to mitigate risks of fraud ¢y non-￿Mpli3nce with laws and regulations..
the matters discussed among the audit engagement team regarding fv)w and where fraud might occur in
the financial Stsiements and any potential indicator5 of fraud.
As a result of these procedures. we considered the optK)rtunities and incentives that may exist wthin the
organisation for fraud an(J iijenlified the greatesl potential for fraud. In common with 811 audits under ISAS IUKI.
we are also required to perform specific pr￿dureS to respond to the risk of management override, induding
testing ioumals and evaluating whether there was eviden￿ of bkas by the directors that represented a risk of
matertal misstatement due to fraud.
We also obtained an understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks that Ihe Charitsble Company
operates in. locu&ng on provssions of those laws and ￿gUlationS that had a direct effecl on Ihe determin8tion of
material amounis and disclosures in the finanoal statements. We focused on L￿S and regulations ihal could
give rise to a material misstatement in the financial statements. including. but not limited to, the Companies Act
2006. Charities Act 2011 and relevant tax Éegislat¢on.

Because of the inherent limitations of an audit. the￿ is a risk that we will not detect all irregularities, including
those leading to a material misslatement in the fjnanual statements or non•compliance with regulation. This risk
inGrease5 the more that Complian￿ wth a law or regulation is rernoved from the events and transactions
reflected in the financial stslements. as we wll be less Itkely to become aware of instances of non-compliance.
The risk is also greater regarding irregularities cKcurring due to fraud rather than error, as fraud involves
intentional Con￿alment. forgery, collusion. omission or mIs￿Presentation.
