Foreword from Chair — Bulbul Ahmed

| IT am delighted to welcome you to our annual report for the year 2024-25. | am honoured to be Chair of the Queen’s Park Bangladesh Association and to have this opportunity to reflect on our remarkable organisation. QPBA holds a unique and vital role in upholding the democratic voice of our community, a responsibility that is both humbling and deeply inspiring. Our work is not just about representation; it is about resilience, inclusion, and generational change.. The organisation’s incredible achievements this past year are plain to see and we are thrilled | to deliver its important mission. This year has been another challenging one, but what stands | out are the year’s many triumphs; from seeing new groups and connections forming to securing space for families in our locality, as well as observing confidence building and celebrating opportunities and personal achievements. Those victories show us the difference our work makes and are the fuel for us to continue.

| | | | | |

The lingering shadow of COVID-19 continues to shape the lives of many, revealing deep fractures in health, wellbeing, and social connection. As the cost of living crisis intensifies, personal and financial resilience is being steadily eroded, leaving communities more | vulnerable than ever. Inequality in North Paddington is not only stark, but it is growing. People living in poverty, disabled individuals, Black and minority ethnic communities, and migrants | face disproportionate barriers to healthcare and financial stability. healthcare and financial stability. and financial stability. financial stability. stability.

| face disproportionate barriers to healthcare and financial stability. healthcare and financial stability. and financial stability. financial stability. stability. | | have worked with QPBA throughout my life, over 36 years, and our response to all these | crises has been incredible. | i :| know of the complexity and breadth of the Association’s work and have great pride in it. | am looking forward to everything that is to follow in my time as Chair. | want to continue listening to | our members, local residents and learn from their experience. | will fight for the issues that are | | important to you, holding the Council and other organisations accountable for delivering the services that are needed for our community. | It has been an incredible 12 months and, as we embark on a new journey together, | would like | to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who works in and with the Association. From our | trustees, volunteers and of course my colleagues in the Association, we have all worked hard and with passion as we are more determined than ever to make a difference and play our part in engineering a safer community. . | | |QPBA has always been committed to making a positive difference in the lives of the local Bangladeshi and all ethnic minority groups through our services. All our projects have been | very well managed, this has only been possible through hard work and total commitment of our users, Staff, volunteers and | thank them all. | believe we are now on the right path, our | | progress in strengthening QPBA, building connections, understanding and trust between the communities. | “It is an enormous honour to be Publicly Elected Chair of Queen’s Park Bangladesh | Association. | wish to thank our 3000 members and the Board of Trustees for the faith they have placed in me. | hope to continue to serve the needs of the community.” Thank you! | 5|Page Annual Report & Accounts 2024-2025

They help them believe they can achieve, not by focusing on what is missing but by building on their strengths. | We know that it’s not ability that holds people back, but opportunity.

At a weekly social session run by our staff and volunteers in Queen’s Park, | saw the real impact they have, as the community came together in a safe space to spend time together, share their worries and support each other. | was extremely proud to represent this Association and to explore how we can tackle the most pressing issues confronting our diverse community. Treasurers’ Report — Moinul Moin

It is my privilege to present to you the financial statements for the year ending 31st March | 2025. The financial statements have been examined by H&H Accountants, London. | Over the last 5 years, QPBA has built something extraordinary - brighter futures for the whole community growing up in some of the most challenging situations. Having faced extremely challenging times, we have continued to improve QPBA’s | reputation and image. We have secured several funding sources from local and London H wide partners to provide more services today.

| By upholding the democratic process and working closely with our core staff, we strengthened QPBA’s foundations and improved our systems and processes. These efforts directly contributed to increased grant funding, allowing us to expand our reach. Our dedicated staff and volunteers have been instrumental in driving this progress. ! would like to express my thanks to all our donors and supporters who have helped us much with the grants they have given during this successful year.

We have focused on using our finances more efficiently and according to the project budget without affecting the quality of the essential services we provide. As QPBA : grows, so too should its processes which ensure that information and oversight reflect good practice. This will be a key project on my part. Most of our funding secured is restricted funding, so this means it can only be spent on the funding headings in line with the grant agreement. We have worked closely with the core staff and residents to identify the projects needed and they have applied for the funding for these projects. Our knowledge of the community needs has been the reason why all the projects were so successful and the funders and happy with the delivery. Most of our funders have visited our activities monthly for 1 year and were surprised to | see many more people than we estimated. That is why the income for the organisation | has been increasing every year during our elected period. 1 “We’re proud to have an exceptional Board of Management Committee whose | diverse expertise helps QPBA uphold the highest standards across the charity. | Now, we have a unique opportunity to reintroduce our mission to a wider audience, continuing to welcome new generations of supporters and partners who will carry forward our 37-year legacy of improving lives across all ages and communities.”
