ChaTities Act 2011 flhe Charities Acn and that an indeFendent examination is needed.

Basis Of Independent Examlnftrfs Report
My examination was carried out in accordance wilh General Direc1￿n5 gNen by the Charity
Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting recoTds kept by the charty and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual
items or di%losures in the aC￿unts,aftd seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such
matters. The prcjcedufes undertaken do not provide all the eviden￿ that would be required in an audtt.

In connection with my examinalion. no material mattels have ¢>)me lo my atteniion wthich gNes me cause
lo believe that in, any material resFect'.
(1) the accountin9 records were not kept in accordance with seGti¢Jn 130 of the Chanties Act; or
(2) the accounts did not accord wilh the accounting records.. or
(3) the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements conceming the form and content
of the accounts set out in the ChaTities IAccounts and ReFQrts) Regulaknons 2008 other than any
requiTement thatthe accounts give a Irue and fair vievl which is not a matter consldered as part
of an independent examination.
I have come across no other matters in Ixsnnection with the examinalion to which attention should be
drawn in this report in ord r to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

iaritsble activities: The nursery is not currentty fully subscribed.
Indraising activities: The majority of funding arises from fees and grants. However, the Trustees
e grateful for the assistance given in other fundraising activities in the year. These include photo
Iles and raffles.
erfomiance: Whilst there is some cornpetit￿n from other pr&school facilib'es the Trustees are
onfident that there will be a need for the full use of the nurserfs facilities for the foreseeable
Jture. The Trustees are fully aware of the need to recruit and retsin suitable qualified and
notNated staff and tske active steps to ensure job sats'sfadion.
Sectlon 4 Policies and Financlal Review
Reserves policy: Trustees review the reserves held by the charty on a continuing basis, and
in accordance with the commitments that have been gwen. The chanty has sufficient reserves to
meet its obligations for the I￿e1ve months to 31st December 2024. The Trustees consider that the
most appropriate level of free reserves would be equivalent to three months expenditure.
Investment selection policy: Surplus funds are retained in bank deposits until used. The
Trustees seek to maximise the interest gained y￿thOUt subjecting funds to any nsk. They are
reviewed from ts'me to time.
Financial Review
The results for the year are attached. The Trustees review the financial summary on a regular basis
and all appropriate financial arrangements are in place.
Section S Statement ol Trustees, responsibilities
The law applicable to chanties in England and Wales requires that the Trustees prepare financial
statements for each financial year which give a trues and fair view of the charitys financial
activities during a financial year and of its financial position at the end of each financial year. In
preparing these financial ststements the Trustees are required to".
Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently".
Make judgements and esbmates which are reasonable and prudent.
State whether applicable accounting standards have been followed. subject to any material
departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements.,
Prepare the financial statements on a'going concem. basis unless it is inappropraite to
presume that the charity will continue in business.
The Trustees have overall reswnsibilhty for ensuring that the charity ha5 appropriate systems of
control, financial and olheN4i5e. in place They are also responsible for keeping proper accounting
records which disclDse with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial positson of Ihe charity
and enable them to ensure Ihat the flnancial statemenls comply the cha￿tieS Act.
They are a150 responsible lor safeguarding the a$set5 of the chanty and hence for taking
reasonable steps to pre¥ont and detect fraud or othor irregulant￿.
