Welcome to another Agm here at Church Preen Pre school. I would like to SL8rt with giving my thanks ts) Maria. Gemma and Marie for their hard work this year. Thanks to you all we have had another very successful year as Church Preen Pre School where we have received an Ofsted visit and have been graded as "Good" Our preschool is a run by our committee made up of parents. carers and staff who manage all aspects of the pre school and are the drlving force behind it all. We meet throughout the year and our current committee is made up of myself Jess Tearle as Chair, Meg Purkis with support from Clare Walsal as Treasurer and Kelly Magil as secretary. As per process all three members will resign from their roles and all positions must be filled. We have have continued to rdise money through our fundraisers such as the popular breakfast with the Easter Bunny and coffee mornings. Through our Strong links with the school the children at pre school have benefited from sessions such as forest school and sharing lunch times on Mondays. This also really supports transitions for preschool children into the primary school. The AGM is our annual fornial meeting of the year where we cover electing of the roles for chair treasurer and secretary and receive their reports. Before we continue with those I would like to take a few moments to extend my thanks and convey my gratitude for the year past. -1 would like to state my thanks again to our wonderful members of staff Mari4 Gemrna and Marie who without we would not be able to function as a preschool. They work tirelessly ensure all ch ildren receive the very best experience. Thank you all so very much. -I would like to thank all members of the committee. You have all been so supportive throughout any issues we have encountered and have contributed your time and efforts into our fundraisers. -A special thanks to Abi and Clare who have stepped down as our chair and treasurer. We are immensely grateful for all your hard work.
-I would also like to extend my thanks to Shropshire County Council as without their support we would not be able to continue. .. -And lastly I want to express my thanks to Meg and Kelly who have supported me and the preschool with their roles in the committee. L£oKf(4 11. q. If
At the start of the Autumn term 2023 we had 8 children on register which grew to 11 over the academic year. Over the last year we have covered many topics and enjoyed sessions in the Primary school's Forest school area. We have been on trips to Attingham Park in the Autumn term and enjoyed crunching through leaves looking at the pumpkin displays and jumping in muddy puddles. In the Summer term we went to Home Farm Attingham. Parents were invited and rt was a nice day feeding animals. playing in the park and enjoying spending time together. We celebrated Christmas with our usual Nativty play, school Christmas dinner and Christmas party with a visit from Father:. Christmas. The Spring term brought new challenges when Marie went on long term sick leave, luckily Jemma was able to step in at short notice and cover her sessions, which meant that the children had continuation of care and Preschool was able to continue to run smoothty. l am extremely grateful for Jemma for taking over some of Marie's role as well as her own which has made my working life much easier. We have attended various training sessions throughout the year but the most beneficial was the Experts and Mentors programme we took part in that was accessed through the department of education and entailed us having visits from a Mentors and Expert, who visited our setting looked at our environment the way we followed our statutory guidelines and how our children accessed learning. We were able to ask for specrfic help for us to prepare for OFSTED, which did prove to be very beneficial when we had the dreaded visit, which came in the summer term. Jemma also accessed online modules that helped us to assess our practice and update us on new ideas on how we could improve our children's experience at Preschool.
8:47AM As mentioned previously in the Summer term we had our long awaited 'w:' visit from Ofsted. Our inspector was called Anne Dyoss and she was in the setting for the morning.she was fair and very thorough in her questioning and the experience was positive for both myself and , Jemma and we were able to maintain our rating of good . At the end of the Summer term we enjoyed our leavers party , graduation and fun morning. We said goodbye to 4 children and wished them all the best in their new schools. I would like to say a thank you to members of staff, especially Jemma for their hard work over the last academic year and to the committee members who have continued to help and support us. .
