Porthtowan Surf Life Saving Club is a registered charity operating under its constitution and within the framework and standards of its governing body, Surf Life Saving Great Britain (SLSGB).

The charity is managed by its Board of Trustees, who oversee the strategic development, governance, financial management and effective delivery of the club’s activities.

Operational delivery is supported by a team of volunteers, including qualified coaches, trainer assessors, surf lifeguards and other club volunteers.

Trustees are appointed in accordance with the charity’s constitution. The club seeks to recruit trustees who can contribute appropriate skills, experience and commitment to support the ongoing development of the charity and its lifesaving objectives.

The trustees meet regularly throughout the year to review the charity’s activities, finances, risks and future priorities.
