**Objects:** A.  TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF MARSDEN AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION.  B.  TO ESTABLISH A COMMUNITY CENTRE.

**Activities:** The Management Committee was formed to manage the Mechanics Hall for the benefit of the community of Marsden. It encourages the use of the hall for further education, music and cultural groups and many social functions to raise funds for the upkeep of the building, and allow elderly and disabled groups to use it at concessionary rates.
