The prlnclpal activlty of the trust Isthe provls1(y) of pre-school play8roup aLtS¥ltles.
The West Green Play8roup offer5 a safe and welcomlng place for chlldren between 2 and 5 by
offerln8 approprlate play, educatlon and care facllities, famlly learning and extended hours 8foupsi
together wlth the rl8ht of parents to take responsibillty for and to become Involved In the actlvltles
of Such groups, ensuring that such groups offer opportunities for all children whatever their race,
culture, religion, means or ablllty. The Play8roup also encourages the study of the needs of such
chlldren and thelr families and promoting publlc interest In and reco8nltlon of such needs In the
local areas.
Maln fvndrnlslng a¢tl¥ltles
The West Green Playgroup relie5 the money ralsed through ourfundraisin8 efforts to purthase or
replace most of the toys arKI equlpment the chlldren use. It Is the parents and carers contrlbutlon to
events that dictats their succe55.
Durlng the year the Play8roup fundraising events included Christmas decorations. East Eg8 Hunt,
Photos, and a Summer Fayre. £840 was also ralsed by Middlesex Unlversrty.
0ryanlsa￿On and Maftagement
The charity is managed by a Management Committee which would nornially meet regularly, at least
6 times a year, to ensure that the Playgroup complies Fts aims and is properly managed. The
Commlttee Members are normally elected at the Annu31 General Meeting and hold office for one
vear but are able to stand for reolertion unless a member has served for ten consecutive years.

Trustee Respmslbllltles
The Charities Att 2011 requires thetn￿teeS to prepare financial statements each year in accordance
with the current regulations. The tnjstees are ￿pon￿ble for keeping proper accounting records,
which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial Position of the year. They are also
responsible for safeguarding the assets of the trust and hence for takin8 reasonable rteps for the
prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
Flnanclal Revlew
The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis in accordance with the Charities
Act 2011. Therefore. the surplus shown on the Income and Expenditure Account of £40,506
12022 £50,486) does not take account of any liabilities that may be owed by the Playgmup or
amounts due to the Playgroup at the period end. The surplus 15 in in line with the expettations of
the Trustees, and the Trustees are now in a postfion to hold sufficierrt reserves to cover variable
running costs for at least 6 months and to have a contingenLry for repairs and maintenance to the
nursery building and any other emergencies. We have spent £13,393 on the enhancement of the
nursery gardens duringthe financial year.
The playgroup continues to be run on a not for profit basis. with any surplus to be ploughed back to
pay for running costs and resour￿$.
