Report of the Trustees

The Trustees are elected annually by the members of the Rotary Club of Warwick.

Objects

To apply both the capital and income of the Fund to or for the relief of the poor and needy or such other charitable purpose, institution, society or object. The Fund is regulated under the terms of a Trust Deed dated 19th January 1994.

Review of

progress, achievements and public benefit

The Charity raised gross income of £42,278.47 during the year (see Page 3 of the Accounts). The Charity made donations totalling £31,263.13 to organisations within the County of Warwick, the rest of the UK and overseas.

The restricted reserves at the end of the year were £14,237.67

The designated reserves at the end of the year were £20,000.00

The unrestricted reserves at the end of the year were £41,244.39

A list of the individuals, charities and organisations supported can be found on Page 5 of the accounts.

The Trustees have had due regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commission.

There were no payments to Trustees or related parties other than the reimbursement of expenses as set out in the Accounts.

At the year end the assets of the Charity were as follows:

Balance on Charity Bank Accounts £68,239.00 Debtors £8,796.00

At the year end the liabilities of the Charity were £1,552.94.

It is the policy of the Trustees to maintain sufficient reserves to be able to respond quickly to urgent appeals for donations.

The trustees would like to thank the members of The Rotary Club of Warwick and the volunteers whose efforts contributed to a very successful year.

We declare in our capacity as Trustees that the Trustees as a body and the Club Council of the Rotary Club of Warwick have approved the above Report and the annexed Receipts and Payments Accounts for the Charity Account and have authorised us to sign them on their behalf.

Independent Examiners’ Report to the Trustees of the Rotary Club of Warwick Registered Charity number 1032791

We report to the Trustees on our examination of the accounts of the above charity (‘the Trust’) for the year ended 30th June 2025 which are set out on pages 3 to 5.

Responsibilities and basis of report.

As the charity Trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (‘The Act’).

We report in respect of our examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out our examination we have followed all the applicable directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent examiners’ statement

We have completed our examination. We confirm that no material matters have come to our attention in connection with the examination which gives us cause to believe that in any material respect:

the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or

the accounts did not accord with the accounting records or

the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of the independent examination.

We have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
