The Trustees present their report and financial statements of the Trust Fund for the year ended 30" June 2024. The Trustees have adopted the recommendations of the Charity Commission for the preparation of reports for small non-company charities (SORP 2005)

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing document: Trust Deed dated 2"! December 1993
Constitution: Association comprising the members of the Rotary Club of Launceston.
Trustee Selection Trustees are normally appointed or re-appointed annually at the AGM held in April.
Risk Management
The Trustees identify and review the risks to which the Charity is exposed and ensure that appropriate controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance against fraud or error and for the maintenance of public safety.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objects of the Trust Fund
To support Rotary official charities. To react quickly and collect monies for relief funds for international disasters. To collect monies and help local communities, groups and individual people.
Main activities

Operation of a Community Charity Shop to provide funds for supporting local charities and organisations.

Organisation of public events and collections to provide support to national and international organisations, charities and projects, both Rotary and non-Rotary.
ACHIEVEMENTS

During the year the Trust Fund distributed £17,445 from its shop account to some 39 local communities, groups and charities.

In addition, it distributed £1,998.06 from its Charity Account to national and international charities and organisations.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Reserves Policy:
The sum of £5,000 is held in reserve to provide donations for national or international disaster appeals. In this year, the sum of £2,200 was paid to Shelterbox and the sum of £2,000 to Aquabox.
Sources of funds:

The Community Charity Shop provides funds for distribution locally and is run by unpaid volunteers, keeping the operating costs to a minimum level. In addition, members of the Rotary club organise events and collections to fund grants outside the local area.

Independent Examiners’ Report to the Trustees of The Rotary Club of Launceston Trust Fund
We report on the Receipts and Payments Accounts of The Rotary Club of Launceston Trust Fund for the year ended 30 June 2024, which are set out on the following page.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
We report in respect of our examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out our examination we have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent examiner’s statement
We have completed our examination. We confirm that no material matters have come to our attention in connection with the examination giving us cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records.
We have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper under-standing of the accounts to be reached.
