It Is a ¢ommSttee made up of parent5 and teachers of Botley School. The committee are voted by attendees at the Annual General Meetin6 held in September of each year, these are then the trustees whilst holding the committee positlons. Oblecdves-To raise money for the school, to allow them to buy things for the children that attènd the school, which would otherwise be unable to be purchased due to budget restraints. Report on actI￿de$- New Chair, secretary, vice chair and treasurer were voted on at the AGM in Sept 24. Fundralslng- The most successful event was an Autumn Festival run in October 24, it was another 5ucces5ful fair style event, which included entertainment. games, stslls and refreshments. The discos followed, with three being held through the year. Other key events included 3x Bags25chool, Chr(stmas present sale, ChTlStmas Raffle. Colour Run, Qui2 nlght, and Santas's Grotto. The local 'Revels on the rec, event didnt prove to be as profi'table as we hoped but raisèd a small amount. Smaller amounts We￿ raised by events such as ice cream/cake sale5, break the rules day, colour fiaffle, a palnt and sip evernlng, and chrlstmas card sales. We also sold books, plants, uniform, Christmas jumpÈrs and refreshments at the school events throughout the year. The accounts show an approXIma￿On of profit for each evenL as some of the empendilure Is attrlbutable to several events and can't be allocated exactly to each event. In addition to event5 run, we received a grant from Eastleigh Borough Council to enhance the planting at the front of the schocjl. and one to help the school develop a sensory field trail around the grounds to support outdoor learning, and the SEN children. We also had,. a donation from an event parents from the school held, a cashpot from the local ASDA initiats've and several matchfunding grants frorn various parents, ornpanie5. We received many donations from local businesses for the christmas raffle. bank interest and donatlon from the printing ot christmas cards. Expendlture- lar8er one off purchases for the school included a new ipad systern Biving 12 units with a charging cabinet, new plcnic benches to be used throu8h the school gro￿ndS, and a larger budget for the 5thool to buy materials for the design technolo8y 5ubjert. The yearly commitments were purchased, including,. school trips, Yr6 leavers coach, rnaths re50urce5, School books, sports trophies, SEN materials, SATS breakfast items and Christrna5 lunch items. FOBS also tontribute the school gardens With a termly budget used for the weekly gardening club. A few garden projètts including developing the courtyard 88rden, extendlng a pèrgola and addin8 a new Shady woodland garden area were created using previously recelved 8rants. FOBS purchased a raffle licence and PTA membership. Lastly FOBS paid a deposit for the fireworks event whlch wlll tske place in the following year November 2025. The school continues to have overall control on what we spend the money on, making requests at meetings for those attending to ag￿e on. We look forward to continuing to fundraise for 5¢hool requests, whether big orsmall.
