St Dunstan’s Community Playgroup Trading as St Dunstan’s Honeybees Playgroup C/o St Dunstan’s School Wells Road Glastonbury Somerset BA6 9BY
Charity No: 1031785 Year ending 2020
St Dunstan’s Honeybees Playgroup is a small playgroup that is set in an area that has a wide range of families. We are registered for 20 children per session and currently have 13 children on role.
Our aims and objectives are to meet the needs of the families and children whom attend the playgroup. We achieve this by planning activities to meet the needs of the individual, to allow a child to develop at a rate that is appropriate to that child. All children aged between 2 and 5 years can access the setting, without discrimination. We provide support and guidance for parents and carers and actively encourage them to come into playgroup to play with the children, talk with staff or take a more active part and join the committee.
We strive to provide a safe, stimulating and interesting environment, where children can explore, by providing good quality equipment and experiences. To achieve this, staff regularly update their training and hold the appropriate qualifications or higher. We regularly check our equipment and update it or buy new when needed and when funds are available.
The fundraising this year has allowed us to replenish our puzzles and painting and craft area. Fundraising was in the form of a Christmas Fayre and raffles which has allowed us to provide the children with a Christmas party and a day trip
Both the Trustees and the Committee take an active part in the running of the group. The Trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty in section 4 of the Charities Act 2006 and have due regard to public benefit.
