**Objects:** TO RELIEVE THE POVERTY OF SOMALI REFUGEES RESIDENT IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HOUNSLOW; TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, PARTICULARLY IN SOMALI LANGUAGE AND CULTURE AND BY THE PROVISION OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE CLASSES; TO WORK TOWARDS THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION AGAINST SOMALIS AND TO PROMOTE EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY AND GOOD RELATIONS BETWEEN SOMALIS AND OTHER ETHNIC GROUP; TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION, IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, FOR PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH.

**Activities:** WELSA is a voluntary organisation that helps vulnerable and disadvantaged Somali people. We give them advice and we also translate for them hen required. I also help them when they are job hunting.  Although the younger generations have learnt and mastered the English language, unfortunately many elders and parents still truffle with day to day activities due to the language barrier.
