St John’s CE School PTA

Treasurer Report September 2022 – August 2023

2022-2023 has been a successful year of fundraising for St John’s PTA. The PTA has raised £17,560 during this period.

Unfortunately the Headmasters Ball had to be cancelled at the start of the year due poor ticket sales. The PTA could not recover the £700 deposit for this event.

St John’s PTA continued to support the school with a number of donations to enrich the learning experience of the pupils. For the period September 2022 – August 2023 the PTA contributed £5,761.27 to various activities for the school.

Having been appointed as treasurer in February 2023, I have retrospectively compiled the figures for the year previous.

Fundraising for 2023-2024 is already underway as detailed in Sue’s report.

As the treasurer I intend to improve book keeping, especially reporting cash sales electronically and banking cash taking as soon as practicable in order to better track the financial position through the year.

We are currently trying to update our accounts with the Charity Commission in order to submit our financial results to them for the year 2022-2023. There have been some admin issues and difficulty contacting the Charity Commission. Once the access to the account has been arranged, the final accounts will be produced, audited and submitted to the Charity Commission.

The following page shows a full set of accounts. A full reconciliation to the PTA Bank Accounts has been performed and is available upon request.
