The grant from the Council did not cover the fees and therefore the playgroup subsidised each child. Our fees are £6.66 for each child, however, the Council gave us £5.63 for 3 & 4 year olds and £6.92 for 2 year olds which did not cover our charges. This meant that we had to use our reserves as we had to keep our staff numbers the same as before because of the number of areas we have, to keep the children safe. The lease was discussed at the meeting and there has been no change in the situation. We discussed the boat and farm trip and decided to do those trips in September. We have decorated the inside of the setting and are slowly working on the outside area.
