The aims of the Pre-school are to enhance the developmenl and
education of Ghildren primarily under statutory school age by encouraging
parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children through
communty groups and by..

and extended hours groups, together with the right of parents to take
responsibility for and to become involved In the activities of such groups,
ensuring that such groups offer opportunities for all children whatever
their race, culture, religion, means or ability..,

Charfield Pre-school is an Ofsted registered non-profit making pre-school
managed by a parent committee. Operating from the Foundation Room in
the grounds of Charfield Primary School, we are open 5 days a week and
can accommodate up to 30 children per session.
The learning environment is based on individual learning through play.
We are committed to meet the requirements of the EYFS - the standards
set for learning, development and care for children up to 5 years of age
by the Department for Education and Skills.
All our staff are qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 2 standard and you
will always experience a very wami and friendly almosphere.

2023-24 was a good year:
Successful recruitment campaign, and staff retainrnenl
through review of pay structure.
Successfully finalised and certificated the cabin to increase
capacity.
Improved the preschool by committee and volunteer led
activities such as the forest area & play matting.
SuGGessful fundraising events throughDUt the year.
Income remains positive:
At an operational level we managed to achieve a surplus,
However, significant cost pressures due lo rise in both Nl
(150k) & minimum national living wage (6.7%). Currently not
reciprocated through increases in the Government
Education Grant payments.

As the tharlty's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
(°the Act.).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under Section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my oxamin8tion, I
hava followed all the applicable Direction8 givèn by the Charrty Commission
under gection 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Indepndont Charfield Pre School's gross income ex(xedéd £25,000 and l am qualified
•xamlnerfs statern•nt to undertake the examination by being a qualffied member of the Chartered
InstitLrte of Management Accounts (ClMA>.
I have completed my examination. I confim that no material matter8 have
come to my attention in connection with Ihe examlnation which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect:
the accounting records were not kept in accordance wilh section 130
of the Charities Act. or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records. or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements
con(xming the fonn and content of accounts set out in the Charities
(Accounts and Reports) Regulations 21X)8 othor than any requirement
that the accoutts gNe a Irue and fair, view which is not a matter
considered as part of an independent examination.
