Managers Report
This AGM covers the school year from September 2024 to July 2025. 17 children left us at the end
of thc summcr tcmi and we had a good intake of children in September. We had space for new
children for intakes in January and April.
We started the new school year looking at topics such as safety, road safety, emergency services,
seasons, planling bulbs and seeds and did an 'all about me, theme. The cliildren really enjoy these
topics and respond wcll to thLm. We also did our first fundraising ¢vent which was a sponsored
walk.
April l st (financial year) or September I 51 (academic year} the hourly Tate for non funded children
went up froin £8.50 to £9.00 this i5 due to the raise in national livingJ wagJe and national insurance
contributions. This hourly Late is for our non funded children and will apply to any extra hours our
funded children have in addition to their government funded entitlement hours. We will have to
look at tliis every September. Cost of resources also went up.
It was announced by the Department of Education that from September 2025 all EYFS settings will
need to appoint a member of staff to becoine a Sustainability Lead and put in place a Climate
Action Plan. We actioned this and also completed a sustainability aiidit. We put in place a water butt
and Beth inade a recycling monster. Long tem] t"undraising will help to buy a shed.
Sophi¢ ¢oinplet¢d li¢r Lev¢1 3 childcare qualification and gained a Diqtinction. Kar¢n r¢tired at th¢
end of the summer tenn so we started looking for a new member of staff. We were fortunate to fjnd
a parcnt ivith cxpcricncc with working in a sctting and SEN cxpcricncc. Wc wclcomc Bcth Ruffcll
to our team starting September 2025. Beth will work towards gaining her Level 3 qualification.
Lastly, we have been discussing changing Manor Road Preschool to a CIO, Charitable Incory)orated
Organisation. Infonnation has been sent through to our committee members and staff and we will
discuss this furthcr with you all and takc a votc on whcthcr wc do this.

Income and Expenditure
We purchased a new ipad as the old one was no longer compatible.
We purchased a new landline phone and broadband provider as mobile signal was leible.
Additional staff cover has gon¢ down as we no longcr have Emily.
Genuna is looking at a digital package for book keeping
All people who att¢nded the AGM wh¢r¢ giv¢n a copy of th¢ Income and Expenditure which wer¢
proposed by Sophia Brothers and seconded by Olivia James.
Chairperson Report
Thank you to staff and parents for their continu¢d support. W¢ enjoy doing fundraising as it brings a
real sense of coinmunity support and brings the parents together.
It was a good year for fundraising, events included a pub quiz, raffle, bake sales. ice cream sales,
pancake flip, sponsored walk and book swap. The children really enjoyed being part of all these
events.
For the Spring tem) we are looking at doing a Val¢ntin¢ bak¢ sal¢, pancake flip, pub quiz, Easter
bake sale, l 00 square, bingo, raffle and a sponsored sport event (tbc).

Zoe Woodroofe will be taking over the nominated person role on the Committee from March 2026
with Chris Millins stepping down from this rol¢ on th¢ cominitt¢¢ fri)m March 2026. Propos¢d by
Iola Cameron, seconded by Caroline Mays
Committee will do further research into becoming a CIO. The cost of this is £2000. Also we would
iieed to change to a digital accouiits package and have l year of digical books to be able to change to
aCIO.
No new committee Members were voted on apart from Zoe Woodroofe which was proposed and
seconded earlier in the meeting.
